    Leider haben sich die Entwickler dagegen entschieden, unterschiedliche Stufen des Abos anzubieten. Man konnte in den Einstellungen ja sehen, wie viele API calls das eigene Nutzungsverhalten ungefähr im Monat ausmacht und trotz meiner recht umfassenden Benutzung, hätte ich monatlich circa 50 Cent an Kosten verursacht. Wenn man dem Entwickler noch etwas „Trinkgeld“ zuspricht und Apples Teil miteinbezieht, wäre alles über 99 Cent zu teuer. So subventionieren alle Nutzer gezwungenermaßen extreme Heavy User und das ist einfach nur schade. Ich werde so nicht abonnieren und verabschiede mich von reddit auf dem Smartphone.

    Narwhal kostet zwar jetzt aufgrund der Reddit API Kosten, aber es lohnt sich. Die originale Reddit App ist nicht zu ertragen, zahlreiche bösartige „Dark Patterns“, viel zu viel Werbung. Da zahle ich gerne ein Bisschen, um reddit mobil vernünftig nutzen zu können.

    The app is absolute junk. Many bugs especially when playing video and GIF. If you were used to Apollo this is really bad...

  • Annoying bugs when submitting, editing a post

    While entering some texts in a new post or while modifyin a post, it frequently, if not ever, happens, that the content of the edit box scrolls up and was never seen again. When turning from landscape to portrait on my iPadPro, I can heal this situation for a while, but it comes back again.
