Für mich ein absolutes No Go!

The app is a joke. Not sure if they actually try to rip you off or just incompetent. I can’t download anything I bought and the customer service can’t or won’t help. There are better alternatives in the App Store!

  • Good idea, bad execution

In theory, it‘s a nice idea that you can listen to sheet music you purchased. Especially for people who don‘t have much experience reading music, it makes understanding the sheet music much easier. However, the app has a bunch of problems. First of all, there doesn‘t seem to be a way to place the playhead at a specific location during playback, for example if you want to jump back by a few measures. In theory, you could do that with the looping feature, but that is not a good solution. Also, the looping feature is buggy, because sometimes, at the end of a loop, playback starts at the beginning of the song, not at the beginning of the loop. Sometimes, playback just stops in the middle of the loop. So far, it has never worked correctly for me. Also, playback in general is annoying. Instead of smoothly scrolling, it always jumps by a few lines, so you often can‘t look ahead to the next line to see which chord is coming next. That completely defeats the purpose of the whole app to me. Also, it‘s completely pointless that in a digital version of the sheet music, there is a „hard switch“ to the next page, instead of just scrolling smoothly into the next page. It would be nice if one could change the instruments - it‘s a bit weird that guitar chords are played by a piano. It would also be great if the mixer could handle the notes for one instrument on the treble and bass clef separately. It would be even nicer if you could export a Midi version that you can then manipulate yourself - but I guess that would be a copyright problem. As for the quality of the sheet music itself, it varies greatly from „absolutely professional“ to „children‘s music book“. Some songs are missing the instrumental intros for example, which in many cases is a rather important part of the song. In some cases, the intro is abbreviated. In some cases, the lyrics are incorrect. In some cases, the key is incorrect (guitarists sometimes transpose to keys with easier-to-play chords, but I am always annoyed to find this in professional sheet music that is supposed to be in the „originally published key), and transposing to fix this doesn’t work on all songs. There are 20+ versions of some songs, which is also annoying. I would rather have 2-3 high quality versions to choose from.

Was ist da passiert?!

Da weiß man, was man hat. Reine abzocke.
