Let your memories drift. Drift is a photo and video browser made for Mac. Move through forgotten moments in your folders, camera cards, and Photos library, one item at a time. You don’t have to sort everything at once. Start with a small group and decide as you go. Give each memory the screen • Immerse yourself in photos, videos, and Live Photos, with a softly changing ambient backdrop. • Open local folders and subfolders, SD cards, external drives, or the system Photos library. • Access iCloud Photos through your library or choose an iCloud Drive folder. Cloud-only content needs an internet connection to download. • Browse with your trackpad, mouse wheel, or keyboard. Your pace, your order • Choose photos, videos, or a mixed feed, in groups of 50, 100, 200, or 500. • Seven orders: shuffle, newest or oldest by date, largest or smallest by size, and name A–Z or Z–A. • Ordered groups skip viewed items until you begin a fresh round. • Keep local review history, favorites, and tidying statistics without a giant to-do list. Pinch back to That Day • Pinch in, press Return, or click the date to see media captured on the same day. • Use Command-click, Shift-click, drag selection, or Select All to tidy a burst together. • Press Space or double-click for a closer look. Spread your fingers or press Esc to return to the feed. Set it aside. Don’t erase it yet. • Turn on Tidy mode with D, then swipe left or press Delete to mark an item. • Marking is not deletion. Command-Z can undo before you confirm. • Review your marked items together, rescue any keepers, then confirm. • Folder files move to Trash where supported. Photos library deletion uses Apple’s confirmation flow. Made for photos on a Mac • Hold Space to play a Live Photo; pause, mute, or hold Space for 2× video playback. • Browse supported same-name RAW + JPEG camera pairs as one item. • Available embedded previews appear first, followed by sharper images, to reduce waiting on slower storage. Your photos stay yours Browsing and tidying happen locally. No photo or video uploads to us, no ads, no tracking, and no account required. The Mac App Store edition is paid upfront, with no subscription or license key. Apple manages updates. Requires macOS 14 or later. Please note: deleting from iCloud Photos or iCloud Drive may sync to other devices. Paired media can contain multiple files; back up important originals first. Size ordering for Photos assets uses metadata estimates, not exact file sizes. EXIF capture dates for folder items are refined in the background.
