CopyTrove remembers what you copy, so you can find it later. It lives in your Mac’s menu bar. Click a saved item to put it back on your clipboard, or use a keyboard shortcut to copy one of your four most recent items. Switch to your destination app and press ⌘V to paste. Open the library when you want to search, organize, or clean things up. • Keep a chronological history of text, links, images, and file references. • Search your history and filter it by content type. • Pin things you use often, add tags, and organize copies into collections. • Preview images and links, edit saved text, and delete several items at once. • Choose compact or comfortable rows and set your own history limit. • Pause capture whenever you need to. Your saved history is encrypted on your Mac. Sensitive-text filtering is on by default and checks for likely Social Security numbers, card numbers, and recognizable credential tokens. You can also exclude apps from capture. Detection happens on your Mac and can miss unmarked passwords or secrets inside images. Optional iCloud sync keeps eligible history or pinned items available on your other Macs. Content is encrypted before it leaves your Mac and stored in your own private iCloud database. Both Macs need the same Apple Account and iCloud Keychain. File references stay on the Mac where they were copied, and oversized items stay local. You can import and export JSON archives; exported files are unencrypted. CopyTrove requires macOS 13 or later. iCloud sync requires macOS 14 or later. CopyTrove does not request Accessibility permission or send keystrokes to other apps.
